NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Colby-Sawyer College field hockey team had a total of 15 shots in its overtime victory over Elms College on Wednesday night. Junior
Aoife Daly (Harwich, Mass.) scored the game winning goal in the 8th minute of extra time. Daly had four shots, including two that were on goal.

The Summary
- Each team provided stout defense in the first quarter, only allowing each other to get one shot each. In the second, Colby-Sawyer had five opportunities opposed to Elms who had one. Heading into halftime, both teams had yet to break through and score.
- In the second half, the Chargers finally broke through and scored. Junior Caroline Koziol (Waterford, N.Y.) scored her first goal of the season in the 40th minute of action. Less then a minute later Halie Shea scored for Elms and tied the game up at one. Back and forth the teams went in the fourth, neither attempted a shot in the period.
- In overtime, Daly scored in the 8th minute and gave the Chargers their first victory of the season.

- Colby-Sawyer finished with 15 total shots, 12 of them being on goal and 10 penalty corners.
- Both Aleah Murph (Portland, Maine) and Daly (Harwich, Mass.) recorded the most Charger shots in the game with four each.
- Junior Lauren Wilkinson (Lynn, Mass.) recorded four saves in the victory.
