NEW LONDON, N.H. - The Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball team picked up win number seven on the season, Thursday night with a 3-0 victory over Fitchburg State University.

- The Chargers were behind in the first set by a 21-15 margin, before an eight point run sparked by junior Mia Harmon (Concord, N.H) who registered three service aces during the stretch. Colby-Sawyer would eventually close things out in a 28-26 first set triumph.
- The Chargers continued their momentum in the second set rallying both a six-point and five-point streak respectfully. First year Shaelyn Thornton (Scarborough, ME) led the charge with three kills to help pull off the largest set victory of the night, 25-15.
- Colby-Sawyer finished off the Falcons with a remarkable nine-point swing taking the Chargers from a 17-14 deficit to a 22-17 advantage. First Year Makaila Blinne (Palm Bay, FL) used three kills to lead the home team to a three-set win with a 25-22 outcome.

Notes & Notables
- In the match Thornton led the way for the Chargers registering nine kills, 11 digs and a pair of service aces.
- Ameesah Cotten (Newburgh, N.Y.) notched six kills, three blocks and an assist, while Ava LaValle (Peabody, Mass.) added six kills, and two digs.
- Anna Allen (Los Angeles, Calif.) continued to set up the Chargers with 20 assists in the three sets.
