BIDDEFORD, Maine - September 28, 2019 - The Colby-Sawyer women's rugby team remained undefeated after an impressive 58-0 National Intercollegiate Rugby Association (NIRA) victory at the University of New England Saturday afternoon.
Colby-Sawyer improves to 4-0 and sits alone atop the NIRA standings with a perfect 3-0 record. The team will host Castleton on Friday, Oct. 4 looking to improve to 5-0. UNE drops to 1-2.
The Chargers controlled the action from the opening kick.
Julia Anhalt got the scoring going and Colby-Sawyer never looked back.
Anhalt finished with a try, a penalty kick and five conversions.
Bailey Burt led the team with four tries, while
Jordyn Enos,
Dayanara Espino,
Jess Burt and
Sydney Jackson also contributed a try apiece.
