Chargers Compete in Frostbite 7s Tournament

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Colby-Sawyer women's rugby team kicked off their spring season in the Frostbite 7s tournament in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. 

Rapid Recap:
  • In the first matchup the Chargers took on Temple University with a final score of 41-7. The lone Charger try came from guest player Nicole Algierie from Stony Brook. The Chargers conversion was successful by senior Madison Hill (Bel Air, Md.). 
  • Colby-Sawyer fell in the second match to George Mason by a 29-0 final.
  • In the third match, the Chargers had their best showing of the day falling to Swathmore by a 14-0 final. In the match the Chargers showed a lot of heart getting holding Swathmore scoreless in the first half until extra time.
