CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Colby-Sawyer women's rugby 7's team began its first varsity spring season with four matches at the Crimson 7's tournament hosted by Harvard University.
The Chargers will return to the pitch on Saturday, April 13 for a 7's tournament hosted by Sacred Heart.
COLBY-SAWYER vs. HARVARD - L, 7-46
The Chargers received a try from
Bailey Burt and a conversion from
Francesca Basile in the first half and trailed by just three at the break, 10-7. Harvard scored 36 in the second half to come away with the 46-7 victory.
COLBY-SAWYER vs. QUINNIPIAC - L, 0-51
COLBY-SAWYER vs. SACRED HEART - W, 20-14
Colby-Sawyer held a 10-7 lead at the half and each team would double its score in the second to make the final, 20-14, in favor of the Chargers.

Madison Rettenmaier each contributed a try in the win.
COLBY-SAWYER vs. MOLLOY - L, 19-22
The Chargers ended the day in with a close match against Molloy.

Bailey Burt registered tries, while
Francesca Basile finished with a pair of conversions. The Lions were able to escape with a 22-19 win.
