NEW LONDON, N.H. – January 6, 2018 – The Colby-Sawyer men's basketball team shot 53.9% from the floor and 50% from beyond the arc en route to a 98-46 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) victory over Thomas College.
Colby-Sawyer improves to 8-3 overall and 5-0 in the NAC. The Chargers will head to Maine next weekend to play at Husson and Maine Maritime. Thomas drops to 5-7 overall and 3-3 in the NAC. The Terriers will host UMaine-Farmington next Saturday.

Jourdain Bell (Manchester, N.H.) led five Chargers that scored double figures with 18 points. Sophomore
Patrick Coffey (Westford, Mass.) scored 17 points, all in the first half, on 7-of-7 from the floor. Sophomore
Dana Bean (Franklin, N.H.) added 16 points and three blocks, while freshman
Austin Boudreau (Old Orchard Beach, Maine) added 11 points. Freshman
Travis Coppinger (South Yarmouth, Mass.) contributed 10 points in six minutes off the bench.
Thomas' lone double figure scorer was sophomore Zach Mackinnon (Kennebunk, Maine) who scored 11 points. Senior John Morgan (Sanford, Maine) led the Terriers with seven rebounds.
The Chargers led 46-17 at the half and then outscored Thomas 52-29 in the second for the final score of 98-46. The Colby-Sawyer defense held Thomas to 27 points below their scoring average of 73.
Colby-Sawyer used a 52-33 advantage on the glass to outscore Thomas 17-2 in second chance points and also scored 24 points off of 17 Terrier miscues.
