NEW LONDON, N.H. – September 23, 2017 - The Colby-Sawyer College men's soccer team earned a 3-1 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) victory over Husson on Saturday afternoon at Kelsey Field.
Colby-Sawyer improves to 4-4 overall and 3-0 in the NAC. The Chargers will resume action on Saturday at Castleton. Husson drops to 2-4 overall and 1-2 in conference play. The Eagles will play at Maine Maritime on Wednesday.
The Chargers got on the board in the first 10 minutes for the third straight match. Senior
Jake Sykes (Laconia, N.H.) sent a corner kick towards the box that was headed home by junior
Noah Camelo (Marblehead, Mass.) for his second goal in as many games.
Freshman
Ahamad Raji (Lagos, Nigeria) then gave the Chargers a 2-0 lead in the 38th minute when he found the back of the net.
Colby-Sawyer took a 2-0 lead into the half with a 5-1 edge in shots.

Husson's lone goal came in the 78th minute. The Eagles were awarded a penalty kick and freshman D'Nye-Jha Sharrieff-Hayward (Devonshire, Bermuda) converted the try to make the score 3-1 in favor of Colby-Sawyer.

Shane Sacks (Huntington Station, N.Y.) made six stops in the win, while Husson keeper Cody Gross (Fair Lawn, N.J.) had seven saves.
Colby-Sawyer outshot Husson 14-11 and held a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks.
