NEW LONDON, N.H. – October 8, 2016 - Junior
Denali Sexton (Barrington, R.I.) scored twice to set a new Colby-Sawyer men's soccer record with 42 career goals, passing the 41 of Matt Solazzo '04. The Chargers defeated Johnson State, 11-0 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action on Saturday afternoon.
Colby-Sawyer improves to 5-4-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the NAC. The Chargers will host Lyndon tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. Johnson State drops to 2-9 overall and 1-4 in conference action. The Badgers will play at New England College tomorrow at noon.
Sexton, who passed Solazzo's career points mark on Monday, scored twice in the first eight minutes of the contest to set the new goals record. Three years ago to the day, the women's goal scoring record was broken by
Adrienne Bender '14 who scored her 40th in a win over Green Mountain.

Andrew Clothier (Matamata, New Zealand) and freshman
Devin Kelly (Lynnfield, Mass.) had two goals apiece.

Noah Camelo (Marblehead, Mass.), junior

Zach Elmore (Barre, Vt.), and sophomore
Alexi Taliadouros (Winchester, Mass.) each found the back of the net.

Cody Kostrzebski (Gansevoort, N.Y.) led the team with three helpers, while sophomore
Anthony Romeo (Albany, N.Y.) added a pair.
Freshman Patrick Miller (Webster, N.Y.) led the Badgers with four shots and two on target.
Colby-Sawyer received goaltending by sophomore
Shane Sacks (Huntington Station, N.Y.) and junior
Sean Babinski (Concord, Calif.). Each goalie made two saves to combine for the clean sheet. Johnson State keeper Gerrit Lane (Moretown, Vt.) made 19 saves.
