WESTFIELD, Mass. – October 8, 2016 - The Colby-Sawyer men's cross country team had a very strong showing at Saturday's 21st Annual James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State University at Stanley Park. The Chargers finished eighth out of 41 institutions.
RESULTS
Brandon Legendre led the Chargers by covering the 8k course in 26:32.73. He placed 29th out of 432 runners.
Scott Shaw was 10 seconds behind Legendre in 36th place to finish with a time of 26:42.36.
Peter Bakker came away with a personal record time of 27:00.97 to place 51st.
The fourth Charger to finish the race was
Kody Frye. He also turned in a personal best on Saturday to finish in 63rd at 27:12.84.
Rounding out the top-five for Colby-Sawyer was
Benjamin Jones. He crossed the finish line in 27:27.04 in 76th place.

The Chargers will compete at Emmanuel next weekend, but will make a trip back to Westfield State later in the season for the 2016 NCAA Division III Regional Qualifying meet at Stanley Park on November 12.
