CHARGERS TAKE ON THE WNE GOLDEN BEAR INVITATIONAL

SPRINGFIELD, MASS. - The Colby-Sawyer cross country team traveled to Massachusetts to take on the WNE Golden Bear Invitational.

 

Rapid Recap:

  • Adriana Nadeau (Londonderry, N.H.) would lead a strong overall team effort by running her way to an 11th place finish. Nadeau would cross the line in a time of 24:09 marking a season best in the 6k.

  • Leah O'Neill (Peabody, Mass.) would secure a top 20 finish, as she would cross the line 18th overall. O'Neill would finish just 7 seconds behind her personal best, as she finished in a time of 24:28.

  • Annika Lackstrom (New London, N.H.) would continue a strong first campaign with the Chargers, as she would get a personal best in her fourth consecutive meet. Lackstrom crossed the line in a time of 25:37.

  • Maisy Hill (Bristol, VT.), Lenah Hellerich (Tolland, Conn.), and Karolina Otworth (Weston, Conn.) would round out the Chargers runners for the day. Hill would finish as the fourth Charger across the line in a time of 27:17 marking a season best. Hellerich would run a season best in the 6k, as she would run 28:36. Otworth would run her way to a personal best with a time of 29:40, breaking 30 for the first time.

  • Evan Vitagliano (Groton, Conn.) would cross the line as the 32nd runner, as he would run a 27:35. 

 

Up Next:

The Chargers will have a weekend off before they head to Norwich University to compete in the GNAC Championship.
