NEW LONDON, N.H. – January 24, 2013 – The Colby-Sawyer College women's basketball team earned its 10th straight victory with a 74-62 triumph over Lyndon in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action on Thursday evening.
Colby-Sawyer improves to 13-4 overall and remains unblemished in the NAC at 10-0. The Hornets drop to 5-11 overall and 3-8 in conference action.

Cailin Bullett (Millbury, Mass.), senior
Sammi Lehr (Cohasset, Mass.) and sophomore
Kelsey Cahill (Cumberland, R.I.) each recorded a double-double for the Chargers. Bullett had 16 points, 11 rebounds and a game-high seven assists. She moved into ninth on Colby-Sawyer's all-time scoring list with 1106 points, passing the 1104 points scored by Colby-Sawyer Hall of Famer Sara Hammond '01. Cahill scored 13 points and brought down a game-high 15 boards to record her sixth double-double on the season. Lehr added 10 points and 10 rebounds. Senior
Taylor DeSanty (North Adams, Mass.) led all players with 21 points.
Senior Donna Lawson (Irasburg, Vt.) recorded a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds for Lyndon. She added a game best five blocks. Sophomore Emily Gray (Quincy, Mass.) scored 13 points, while freshman Aimee Thompson (Bradford, Vt.) pulled in 10 rebounds.
Colby-Sawyer held its biggest lead of 13 points after a layup from senior
Haley Gisonno (Georgetown, Mass.) ended a 7-1 run to put the home team in front 38-25. The Chargers then led again by 13 at the half 42-29. Bullett and DeSanty each scored 11 for Colby-Sawyer, while Lawson poured in 14 points for Lyndon in the first frame.
The Chargers would go in front by 17 points with 7:58 left to play in the second, before the Hornets slowly chipped away eventually cutting the deficit to nine. Colby-Sawyer made its free throws down the stretch to put the game away for good at 74-62.
Colby-Sawyer controlled the glass 58-44 and held a 14-2 edge in second chance points. The Chargers also did most of their offensive work in the paint, outscoring the Hornets 32-14.
Colby-Sawyer travels to Johnson on Saturday with a 3:00 pm tip. Lyndon hosts New England College also on Saturday at 3:00 pm.
