As a senior: Cahill was named NAC Defensive Player of the Year and also earned All-NAC Second Team accolades. Cahill was the first Charger since Lisa Cole in 2006 to be named Defensive Player of the Year. She was a consistent threat on the defensive end of the court all season and ranked second in the league in blocks (42) and steals (74). She also led the league in defensive rebounds with 158. Cahill earned three or more steals in 14 games this season. Cahill also was a threat offensively, as the senior was second in the league in field goal percentage (46.9) and sixth in points (323). Cahill finished her senior season averaging 12.0 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. In her career at Colby-Sawyer, she ranks second in steals (256), third in rebounds (886), fifth in blocks (137), sixth in free throws (270), seventh in points (1214) and seventh in field goals (472). She also was named to the NAC All-Academic team for the second straight season.
As a junior: Cahill led the team with 11.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game on her way to being named All-NAC First Team and NH D3 Coaches Association First Team. She also earned weekly awards including ECAC Player of the Week, NEWBA Player of the Week, NEWBA Honor Roll, and a pair of NAC Player of the Week honors. Cahill had eight double-doubles on the season, highlighted by a 21-point, 11-rebound in a 66-56 win at Castleton. Cahill moved into eighth in career blocks and 10th in career rebounds. She also led the team with 53 blocks and 75 steals. Cahill also was named NAC All-Academic.
As a sophomore: Kelsey continued to be a force in the paint for the Chargers. She started in 28 of Colby-Sawyer's 29 games and was third in scoring at 11.7 per game. She led the team with 7.8 boards per game, 72 steals and 25 blocks. She recorded career-highs in points (20) at #16 Tufts, assists (7) at Husson, blocks (5) versus Maine-Farmington, and steals (6) against Manhattanville.
As a freshman: Kelsey was inserted into the starting lineup after showing what she could do off the bench early in the season. She earned 19 starts in 30 appearances. Cahill averaged 7.9 points and a team best 7.2 rebounds per game. She shot 43% from the floor and tied for the team lead with 17 blocks. She was named NAC Rookie of the Week on Feb. 20.
At Cumberland: Kelsey was a three sport athlete for the Clippers. She earned four letters in basketball and soccer and three in softball. Kelsey was honored with all-state, all division and all class awards throughout her four years. She also was a McDonald's All-American nominee as a senior.
Personal: Daughter of John and Michelle. Has a brother named Dylan and a sister named Amanda. Kelsey is majoring in Business Administration.
