As a senior: Schiller received the Colby-Sawyer Male Senior Scholar-Athlete Award and was named to the GNAC All-Academic Team. Schiller, a team captain, helped the backline post four clean sheets and a 1.38 goals against average in conference matches. In addition, Schiller added some offense with a pair of goals and an assist.
As a junior: Schiller, a team captain, started in 14 of 15 appearances as one of the Chargers' top defenders. He notched one goal in a win over Lyndon State, but was a big reason the team allowed the second fewest goals in conference games and came away with five overall clean sheets. He earned his second NAC All-Academic award.
As a sophomore: Schiller started in all but one of Colby-Sawyer's 18 matches in 2016. He collected five points on a goal, which was the game-winner against UMaine-Farmington on October 22, and three assists. Schiller helped the defense record six clean sheets during the season. He was named to the NAC All-Academic Team.
As a freshman: Schiller earned a NAC Rookie of the Week award after providing the game-winning goal in a 3-2 comeback win against Plymouth State. After being down 2-0, Colby-Sawyer netted two goals to tie the game, which then set Schiller up for the game-winner, as he found the back of the net in the 80th minute to give the Chargers the victory. Schiller's first collegiate tally came in a win on October 11 against Johnson State.
At Guilderland: Matt was a varsity soccer and basketball player for the Dutchmen. He helped the soccer team to a pair of Suburban Council championships, a section 2 title, and a regional title. Matt was named Suburban Council First Team.
