Biography

As a junior: Derek had a break out season for the Chargers as a co-captain in 2010. He led the team in goals (4), assists (5) and points (13). For his efforts, Derek earned All-TCCC Honorable Mention accolades. He also was named NSCAA All-East Region Scholar.

As a sophomore: Derek started and played in 17 games in his second season with Colby-Sawyer, while patrolling the midfield.

As a freshman: Derek played in all of the teams' 19 games and started in seven of them. He tallied his first collegiate goal on a game-winner against Endicott on Sept. 20.

At Winslow High School: Veilleux was part of a Raiders team that was Eastern Maine Runners Up during his senior year. They posted an 11-3-1 overall record. As a freshman, the Raiders won a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Championship. Veilleux was named to the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference First Team as a junior and senior. Veilleux was a member of the National Honor Society and achieved honors.
