NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The Colby-Sawyer College men's soccer team suffered a 3-0 setback on the road against Norwich University in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action on Wednesday afternoon at Sabine Field.

• Norwich applied pressure early, outshooting the Chargers 9-1 in the opening frame before breaking through at the 31:23 mark. Jacob Salisbury beat a defender on the right flank and fed Alessandro D'Arena, who finished from close range to give the Cadets a 1-0 advantage heading into the intermission.

• The Cadets added to their lead midway through the second half when Miles Bergeson converted a penalty kick at 63:45 to double the deficit to 2-0.

• Norwich sealed the victory in the 85th minute as Lucas Pereira set up Daniel Hennessey with a volleyed feed, which Hennessey slotted into the lower right corner at 84:11 to make it 3-0.

• Colby-Sawyer pushed forward with three second-half shot bids, but the Cadets held the Chargers off the scoresheet through the final whistle.

Inside the Numbers:

• Colby-Sawyer's goalkeeping unit stood tall under heavy pressure, turning aside eight shots on target—including four saves in each half.
