For decades, Colby-Sawyer College Athletics has been defined by two legendary names: Bill Foti and George Martin.
As athletic directors and basketball coaches, Foti and Martin did far more than win games. They shaped lives, mentored generations of student-athletes and built the foundation of our Charger pride.
In honor of Foti and Martin and their decades-long service, support and dedication to Colby-Sawyer, the college has established the Foti Martin Legacy Gift.

The Foti Martin Basketball Court: We will name the basketball court inside the Hogan Sports Center in their honor, creating a lasting space that celebrates their leadership.
Foti compiled a 486-259 record in nearly three decades with the men's basketball program. At the time, the 486 wins placed him in the top 25 for career victories among active NCAA Division III men's hoop coaches. He earned Coach of the Year honors five times across two conferences and, in 2020, Foti's peers named him the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Co-Executive of the Year.
Martin compiled a 487-221 record in 26 seasons with the women's basketball program. When he completed his career, he was the winningest women's basketball coach in New Hampshire, ranked 24th in victories among active Division III women's coaches and had a winning percentage of .688.
Foti and Martin will be inducted into the college's Athletic Hall of Fame during Homecoming and Family Weekend.
