New London, NH – The Chargers faced off against Lasell on Monday for the home opener at Kelsey Baseball Field. 

Game 1 Rapid Recap: 

• Dylan Watson (Byfield, MA) was the starting pitcher for the Chargers, and Luke Descheneaux was the starting pitcher for the Lasers. 

• Sean Roeger (Salem, NH) grounded out in the 2nd inning but scored Watson to give the Chargers a 1-0 lead. 

• In the top of the 3rd, Bobby Long scored Lasell's tying run. In the bottom of the inning, Watson singled to center to score Evan Dennis (East Ryegate, VT). The run by Dennis gave the Chargers a one-run lead. 

• Jacob Putnam (North Haverhill, NH) hit an RBI sac fly in the 5th to bring in Jared Schmitt (Surry, NH) through home plate for Colby-Sawyer. The Chargers won game 1, 3-1. 

Game 1 Inside the Numbers: 

• Watson pitched the complete game for the Chargers, pitching a season-high 7.0 innings and a season-high four strikeouts. 

• Dennis and Watson both recorded two hits. 

• Calvin Sanft was 2-3 from the plate for the Lasers. 

• The Chargers combined for 10 assists and 21 putouts. 

Game 2 Rapid Recap: 

• Connor Fowler (Hampton Falls, NH) started on the mound for the Chargers, and Connor Freitas started on the mound for the Lasers. 

• Tim Callahan scored for the Lasers in the 1st inning. Jeremy Angeles scored in the 2nd and Callahan hit a 2 RBI single in the 2nd. 

• The Lasers scored one run in the top of the 3rd from Nick Nigro. 

• In the bottom of the 3rd, Mike McLeer (Saco, ME) scored, and Jesse Chaves (Taunton, MA) hit an RBI double for the Chargers. The Lasers led 5-2 after three innings. 

• The Lasers scored one run in the 4th and one run in the 7th. Watson hit an RBI single for the Chargers in the bottom of the inning. 

• In the 8th, the Lasers added two runs and the Chargers added one run. The Charger run was scored by Roeger. 

• Lasell scored two runs in the 9th. The Lasers won game 2, 11-4. 

Game 2 Inside the Numbers: 

• Fowler, Simon Keary (Penacook, NH), Colby Russell (Dover, NH), Ryan Kane (Franklin, MA), and Schmitt all pitched for the Chargers. 

• McLeer ended the game on three hits, and Montalvo ended the game on two hits. 

• Callahan was 3-3 from the plate for Lasell. 

• The Chargers combined for 27 putouts and seven assists.
