New London, NH – The Chargers completed the weekend 4-0, as they won two nail-biting matches on Sunday with walk offs deciding both games. The Chargers and Raiders competed hard in both games, with one run being the difference in each game.

The first three innings finished scoreless. In the 4th, Dylan Alberti earned an RBI for the Raiders to give the visitors a 1-0 lead. Liam Stott grounded out to second base but scored Nathan Innerfield for Rivier in the process. David Miller added a run for the Raiders with an RBI single, and Alex Gallicano hit a 2 RBI single to give the Raiders a 5-0 lead going into the bottom of the 4th.

The Chargers responded in the bottom of the 4th, as Sean Roeger hit an RBI double to get one run back. Noah Staffier (Beverly, MA) stepped up next for the Chargers and hit an RBI single. Jared Schmitt (Surry, NH) earned an RBI as well to cut the deficit to two runs. Jacob Putnam (North Haverhill, NH) hit a 2 RBI single to left field to tie the game up 5-5. Mike McLeer (Saco, ME) got the Chargers the lead with an RBI single to make it a 6-5 ballgame.

In the 2nd, Staffier hit an RBI double for the Chargers, and Devin Montalvo (Coram, NY) hit a 2 RBI single to give Colby-Sawyer a 3-2 lead.

In the bottom of the 7th, with two outs, and runners on 1st and 2nd, Evan Dennis hit a walk off single into center field to score Putnam. The Chargers won 5-4.
