West Hartford, CT – The Colby-Sawyer men's basketball team played the University of Saint Joseph Blue Jays on Saturday afternoon. 

Rapid Recap: 

• Tobey Bellows (Waterbury, VT) made a jump shot early in the game for the Chargers. Logan Lapierre Caissie (Ontario, Canada) and Sean Peterson (Chester, NH) both made buckets. Lapierre Caissie made the next two Charger buckets. Peterson went on to score a layup and a three. Derek Mendez (El Paso, TX) made a jump shot to add to the score. Peterson scored his second three-pointer of the game. The Blue Jays led 52-23 after the first half. 

• Tevin Edmunds (Manchester, NH) scored two buckets for the Chargers early in the second half. Lapierre Caissie scored two more baskets, followed by a layup from Andrew Blunt (Alexandria, VA). Lapierre Caissie and Edmunds each scored baskets, as the Blue Jays led 67-40 with 12:47 to go in the game. Edmunds scored another layup. Peterson scored a jump shot and a tip-in. The Blue Jays won the game 95-53. 

Inside the Numbers: 

• Peterson led the scoring for the Chargers with 18 points. 

• Lapierre Caissie ended the game on 14 points. 

• Edmunds scored eight points on Saturday. 

• Friedrich Feldrappe led the scoring for the Blue Jays on Saturday with 20 points. 

• The Chargers scored 28 points in the paint.
