MEN'S BASKETBALL FALLS TO CADETS ON THE ROAD

Northfield, VT – The Colby-Sawyer men's basketball team traveled to Norwich University on Tuesday evening for a matchup with the Cadets. 

Rapid Recap: 

  • Buckets from Logan Lapierre Caissie (Ontario, Canada) and Tobey Bellows (Waterbury, VT) kicked things off for the Chargers. Bellows would add three more jumpers to the score. Andrew Blunt (Alexandria, VA) made a jumper with 6:24 to go in the half. Sean Peterson (Chester, NH) made a tip-in with moments left in the half. The Cadets led 46-21 at the half. 

  • Lapierre Caissie scored a tip-in early in the half followed by a three from Bellows. Lapierre Caissie and Bellows both added another bucket. Bellows made a layup with under 10 minutes to go in the half. Lapierre Caissie scored a jumper, then Emmanuel Adarkwa (Lawrenceville, GA) drained a three. Peterson made a couple layups. With 1:33 left in the game, Dante De Moor (Ronse, Ooost-Vlaanderen, Belgium) made a three. Moments later, Derek Mendez (El Paso, TX) made a three. Lapierre Caisse scored a layup at the end of the game. The Cadets won 98-52. 

Inside the Numbers: 

  • Bellows led the Chargers in scoring with 17 points. 

  • Lapierre Caissie ended the game with 10 points and seven rebounds. 

  • Peterson recorded 10 rebounds and scored nine points on Tuesday. 

  • Joe Joe DuBrul led the scoring for the Cadets with 26 points. 

  • The Chargers had seven players score from the field. 

Up Next: 

On Saturday, the Chargers will face the University of Saint Joseph Blue Jays in Connecticut at 3pm.
