PETERSON'S CAREER NIGHT NOT ENOUGH AGAINST FALCONS

New London, NH – The Colby-Sawyer men's basketball team played against the Falcons of Fisher College on Wednesday evening at the Hogan Sports Center. 

Rapid Recap: 

  • Two buckets each from Tobey Bellows (Waterbury, VT) and Sean Peterson (Chester, NH) saw the Chargers take an 8-7 lead early in the first half. Emmanuel Adarkwa (Lawrenceville, GA) would add a layup for the Chargers. Bellows made a three and Peterson made a layup to tie the game up at 15. Layups from Elijah Thomas (Fairfax, VA) and Andrew Blunt (Alexandria, VA) would put the Chargers up 19-17. Peterson made two more layups for the Chargers. Adarkwa made a layup and a three as the Chargers would trail by three points with about four minutes to go. Logan Lapierre Caissie (Ontario, Canada) converted two consecutive layups. Thomas would make a layup to add to the score. The Falcons led 50-40 at halftime. 

  • Adarkwa scored two buckets early in the first half as the Chargers would trail by 11. Peterson scored two layups to add to his tally. Adarkwa added another bucket with 11 minutes to go. Bellows scored a layup and Dominic Rodriguez (Springfield, MA) scored a three as the Chargers would trail by 12. Lapierre Caissie and Thomas each made a basket as 7:41 was left in the game. With under five minutes to go, Rodriguez scored his second three of the game. Adarkwa added a mid-range jumper and a three. Blunt scored a layup with 22 seconds to go in the game. The Falcons won 92-79. 

Inside the Numbers: 

  • Adarkwa led all scorers with 21 points.  

  • Peterson recorded a career-high 15 rebounds and a season-high 14 points.  

  • Bellows ended the game on 13 points. 

  • Allen Lattimore led the scoring for the Falcons with 20 points. 

  • The Chargers scored 46 points in the paint.
