NEW LONDON, N.H. - Colby-Sawyer Fall seasons are in full swing, and the Chargers have been racking up weekly conference honors with at least an athlete per week. This past week, the Chargers saw another three named as players of the week.
Brooke Farquhar (Gorham, Maine) Field Hockey - The reigning GNAC Rookie of the Year has had quite the season so far, picking up right where she left off from a year ago. The Sophomore had a great week, leading the team to two big conference wins against Lasell and Simmons. Farquhar, who has been named to the honor roll two times so far this year, finally earns her first official Player of the Week of 2025. Brooke finished the week with 3 goals, and 3 assists over the span of the two games.
Bree Bacon (Brookline, Mass.) Women's Volleyball - The breakout Junior continues to pick up accolade after accolade during the 205 season. Bacon had another career week for the Chargers as Colby-Sawyer ended with a 1-1 record. Bree would kick off her week with a 43 assist game in a four set match against Keene State, followed by a 37 assist game in a win over Elms. Bacon has been named to the weekly honor roll three times this season, marking this honor her first Setter of the Week honors of the 2025 season and her career.
Addison Sasnett (Virginia Beach. V.A.) Women's Volleyball - The standout First Year is making a name for herself early in her Chargers career as she currently leads the team in kills, fourth in aces, second in blocks, and third in digs. Sasnett had an impactful week for Colby-Sawyer as she recorded 17 kills and 13 digs with a 48% attack rate to start the week against Keene St. Addison would follow that with a 16 kill, 11 dig performance against Elms with just under 30% in her attacks. This would be Sasnett's first career conference honor, and her first Rookie of the Week honors.
