Bennington, Vt. – The Charger women's tennis picked up a huge win over the Empire 8 champions, Hartwick College 4-3 on Friday afternoon. The Chargers end the regular season with an overall 12-7 record.

- The Chargers would claim the opening point sweeping all three doubles positions. The duo of first-year Sky Jara (South Hamilton, Mass.) and senior Elise Hogan (Duxbury, Mass.) claimed a 6-1 win at number one while the duo of first-year Avery Nielsen (Thornhill, Ontario) and sophomore Payton Dugan (Vincennes, Ind.) would cruise to a 6-0 win at number three.
- The Hawks continued to battle and picked up three quick wins to take a 3-1 lead over the Chargers. Senior Isabella Gutierrez Avendano (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) picked up a big 6-7, 6-1, 10-3 win at number three while Hogan cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at number four. Nielsen would clinch the match for the Chargers winning 6-4, 6-1 at number five.

It was really valuable for the seniors to have such a positive experience as this is one of our last matches. I'm really proud of the effort our team has put in and I can't wait to see how we handle the NCAA tournament."
