Amherst, Mass. - The Colby-Sawyer women's tennis team heading to their NCAA match up in Amherst, Mass. where they would take Farmingdale State as they would look to secure their sixth first round win in program history.

- In doubles action, the pairing of Maria Espinosa Lopez (Merida, Mexico) and Isabella Gutierrez (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) would win in the number one match up as they would win 6-1. The duo of Sky Jara (South Hamilton, Mass.) and Mary Thoms (Northwood, N.H.) would secure the doubles point for the Chargers as they would win 6-2 to take the 1-0 lead against the Rams.
- In singles action, Espinosa Lopez would score the second point for the Chargers as she would take care of business in straight sets, 6-1, 6-0. Avery Nielson (Thornhill, Ontario) would put the Chargers one point away from moving to round two in the tournament after a 6-2, 6-1 win. Payton Dugan (Vincennes, Ind.) would secure the win for the Chargers in straight sets, 6-0, and 6-2 to advance the team to the second round!
