Arlington, N.Y. – The Colby-Sawyer men's basketball team played the Hartford Hawks in the Hochberg Family Tip-Off Tournament on Friday evening. 

Rapid Recap: 

• Hartford would lead 23-3 after 10 minutes. But the Chargers would fight back with Tobey Bellows, Andrew Blunt (Alexandria, VA), and Elijah Thomas (Fairfax, VA) each supplying four points in the rest of the first half.  

• The Chargers would score the first points of the second half off a layup from Thomas. About three minutes later, Logan Lapierre Caissie (Ontario, Canada) would score two consecutive buckets for the Chargers. Emmanuel Adarkwa (Lawrenceville, GA) and Bellows would each contribute points in an 8-2 run for the Chargers. With about eleven minutes to go, the Chargers would trail 56-30. But the Chargers would keep playing strong. Sean Peterson (Chester, N.H.) would account for the next six points for the Chargers. Dominic Rodriguez and Jordan Roode (Pittsfield, N.H.) would each knock down a three in the last few minutes of the second half.  

Inside the Numbers: 

• Thomas would end the day with a team leading 13 points and eight rebounds. 

• Bellows would end the day with 10 points. 

• Peterson would get eight points and seven rebounds on Friday. 

• The Chargers scored 42 of their points in the paint.
