Boston, Mass. – The Colby-Sawyer men's basketball team had their season opener at Suffolk University on Wednesday night.

Logan Lapierre Caissie (Ontario, Canada) scored the first Charger points of the season in the third minute of the game after putting up a layup. Andrew Blunt (Alexanria, VA) and Tevin Edmonds would both sink shots to tie the game up at 6. Blunt and Tobey Bellows would each make threes as the Chargers would only trail by one point, as the score was 17-16 with just over five minutes left in the first half. The Chargers and Rams would enter the halftime break all tied up at 22.

With the game tied at 24, Bellows would sink both free throws to give the Chargers a two-point lead. Bellows would continue his scoring streak by sinking a three and a jump shot to keep the Chargers ahead with a 31-28 scoreline. Edmonds and Blunt would both make threes, as the Chargers would trail 51-43. The Rams would end up winning the game 66-51.

The Chargers travel to Poughkeepsie, N.Y. on Friday for the Hochberg Family Tip-Off Tournament. The first game of the Tournament for the Chargers will be on Friday at 5:30pm against the University of Hartford.
