NEW LONDON, N.H. - The Colby-Sawyer men's basketball team dropped its second Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) game on Tuesday losing to Lasell University 84-68

- Sophomore Sean Peterson (Chester, N.H.) would open the scoring for the Chargers with a quick layup, but the Lasers responded Che Hanks hitting a three pointer. The Lasers continued to hit their shots as they went on a 18-2 run, but junior A.J. Mutiganzi (Burlington, Ontario) would make a layup to end the Chargers scoring drought with 13:20 left in the first half. The Chargers and Lasers would continue to trade buckets late in the first half, but the Lasers would continue to knock down their shots and took a commanding 44-23 lead over the Chargers heading into halftime.
- Senior Chaz Cullum (Omaha, Neb.) would score first to start of the second half driving into the paint and making the layup. The Lasers responded with made free throw, but Peterson would knock down another layup to trim the Lasers lead. The visitors extended their lead to 25 points late in the second half with first-year Elijah Thomas (Fairfax, Virginia) and Cullum adding back-to-back layups to continue to cut the Lasers lead. The Chargers would continue to hit shots of their own, with graduate student Michael Joanou (Burbank, Calif.) hitting a three-pointer in the final four minutes of the second half. Cullum would add a three-pointer in the final two minutes of the game to keep the Chargers alive, but Lasell would pull away from the game and take the 84-68 win.Â

- Cullum paced the Chargers with 20 points (7-13 FG, 2-3 3 PT, 4-4 FT), nine rebounds, and five steals while Mutiganzi recorded 10 points (4-10 FG, 2-5 FT) and six rebounds. Joanou added eight points (3-7 FG, 2-5 3 PT) and one assist for the Chargers.Â
- Esmer Madesko tallied 18 points (7-10 FG, 1-3 3 PT, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, and six assists while Karim Belhouchet added 16 points (6-11 FG, 4-7 3 PT), five rebounds, and three assists. Andy Madesko chipped in 12 points (4-6 FG, 4-6 FT), 12 rebounds, and eight assists for the Lasers.Â
- The Chargers shot 60% from the charity stripe and recorded 36 points in the paint. The Lasers shot 52.4% from the charity stripe and tallied 34 points in the paint.Â
