CHICOPEE, MASSACHUSETTS - The Colby-Sawyer men's basketball team fell on the road Wednesday night to Elms College 85-78. The Chargers drop to 0-4 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action.

- The Chargers would score the first basket Wednesday night as graduate student Bryson Jenkins (Gary, Ind.) would make a free throw. Jenkins sparked a 10-3 run for the visitors with senior Chaz Cullum (Omaha, Neb.) chipping in six points and first-year Andrew Blunt (Alexandria, Virginia) knocking down a three-pointer. The Blazers responded by making a pair of free throws to trim the lead to single digits. First-year Brady Rogers (Newfields, N.H.) and Jenkins each hit a three-pointer, pushing the Chargers' lead to 18-9 with 12:31 remaining in the first half. The Blazers would go on a 21-5 run late in the half, as they took a 30-23 lead over the visitors. Junior AJ Mutiganzi (Burlington, Ontario) broke the Chargers' scoring drought with a layup, and Rogers connected on another three-pointer to cut the Blazers' lead to four points. Both teams battled in the final minutes of the half, with Cullum hitting a jumper to cut the Blazers' lead as they visitors trailed 39-38 heading into halftime.
- The Blazers opened the scoring in the second half with a layup, but Jenkins quickly answered with one of his own to keep the game close. The teams exchanged baskets early in the half, with the Chargers keeping the Blazers' lead to single digits. Cullum hit a three-pointer to cut the lead to six, but the Blazers responded with two free throws, extending their lead to 61-53 with 10:54 remaining. The Blazers then hit back-to-back three-pointers, sparking a 12-2. Junior Sadiq Abdullahi (Homestead, Fla.) broke the momentum with a layup in the paint. Rogers followed with back-to-back three-pointers, cutting the Chargers lead to 10 points with 3:44 left in the half. The teams traded free throws as the Blazers maintained their lead, but Rogers added a pair of his own to keep the Chargers within reach. Cullum and Rogers would each hit a layup in the final minute to cut the deficit to single digits, but the Blazers capitalized on fouls committed by the Chargers, clinching the 85-78 win.

- Cullum led the way for the Chargers with 29 points (12-21 FG, 3-6 3 PT, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, and three assists while Rogers posted a career-high 18 points (6-9 FG, 4-6 3 PT, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, and one steal. Jenkins recorded 12 points (4-9 FG, 1-4 3 PT, 3-4 FT) and two assists for the Chargers.
- Andrew Ciaglo paced the Blazers with 21 points (5-10 FG, 5-10 3 PT, 6-6 FT) and three rebounds while Aden Goffe added 18 points (5-12 FG, 1-5 3 PT, 7-8 FT), six rebounds, and two steals. Aaron Sanchez tallied 18 points (7-10 FG, 4-5 FT), four rebounds, and two assists for the Blazers.
- The Chargers shot 91.7% from the charity stripe and 39.1% from beyond the arc. The Blazers shot 50% from the field and 37.5% from beyond the arc.
