Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

CHARGERS FALL ON THE ROAD TO BULLDOGS 2-1

FRANKLIN, MASS. – The Colby-Sawyer men's soccer team dropped a close 2-1 game to the Dean Bulldogs on the road Wednesday.  
 
Rapid Recap:  
  • The Bulldogs applied their offensive pressure early in the first half with a goal in the 14th minute to give them a 1-0 lead over the visiting Chargers. The Chargers continued to fight back in the first half with shots by senior Ryan Wilson (Mattapoisett, Mass.) and sophomore Cullen Visscher (Katy, Texas) but were unable to find the back of the net heading into the half. 
  • The Chargers came out hot in the second half with sophomore Judson DiMaria (Acton, Mass.) scoring the goal to tie the game up early in the half. The Chargers continued their offensive pressure with shots by first-year Colin Riley-Perec (Plymouth, Mass.) and sophomore David Herrera (Miami, Fla). The Bulldogs counteracted with back-to-back shots but key saves by junior Yener Bartolon (West Palm Beach, Fla.) kept the Chargers alive. Dean found the back of the net in the 80th minute to give the Bulldogs the win.  
 
Inside The Numbers:  
  • The Bulldogs outshot the Chargers 18-15. 
  • Bartolon recorded 8 saves against the Bulldogs.  
  • DiMaria scored the lone goal for the Chargers.  
 
Up Next:   
The Chargers return home on Saturday to take on Saint Joseph's College of Maine with a 12:00 PM start.
