NEWTON, MASS. – The Colby-Sawyer men's soccer team headed to Newton, Mass. for a match-up with Lasell University as their late season playoff push and hopes are still alive.

- The Chargers struck first on the offensive with shots from sophomores Cullen Visscher (Katy, Texas) and Owen Barnwell (Derry, N.H.), but Lasers goalkeeper made keys saves for the home team. The Lasers would find the back of the net first in the 14th minute and give themselves a 1-0 lead early in the first half. The Chargers counteracted with shots of their own by sophomore David Herrera (Miami, Fla.) and junior Nick Carrabino (Fair Haven, Vt.) but Lasers goalkeeper Antonio Centracchio kept the home team on top. In the 24th minute, sophomore Kaden Lewis (Lunenburg, Mass.) would score a goal for the Chargers with an assist by Carrabino to tie the game at 1-1. The Lasers went on the attack late in the first half, firing shots on target, but junior goalkeeper Yener Bartolon (West Palm Beach, Fla.) made keys saves for the Chargers to keep the score at 1-1 heading into halftime.
- The Lasers took control of the midfield early in the second half firing shots on target, but Bartolon remained tough in net to keep the score at 1-1. The Chargers continued to battle back with first-year Colin Riley-Perec (Plymouth, Mass.) and senior Ryan Wilson (Mattapoisett, Mass.) but were unable to find the back of the net. The Lasers would take the 2-1 lead in the 74th minute with a goal of their own. The Chargers continued to fight to tie the game up with shots by sophomores Judson DiMaria (Acton, Mass.) and Lewis, but Centracchio remained tough in net to keep the home team on top. The Lasers would extend their lead in the 87th minute with a goal and would come away with the 3-1 victory over the Chargers.

- Bartolon played the full 90 minutes for the Chargers and recorded three saves.
