NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Colby-Sawyer Men's Soccer team soared to victory Sunday afternoon, topping Vermont State University Lyndon 12-0, with their first double digit scoring game since October of 2016.
Rapid Recap:
- First year Cameron Cook (Montpelier, Vt.) got right to work scoring his first collegiate goal and first goal of the match at the five-minute mark.
- Sophomore Josh Warner (Barrington, N.H.) quickly joined Cook notching the second goal off an Eric Deschner (Lexington, Mass.) corner only one minute later.
- First year Mateo Siguenza (Guayaquil, Ecuador) utilized some fancy footwork in his second appearance with the Chargers to notch his first collegiate goal just short of the 18-minute mark.
- First year Kaleb Call (South Jordan, Utah) was the next one to strike, reaching the back of the net to put the Chargers up 4-0 with just over 16 minutes left in the first half.
- 40-seconds later First Year Cullen Visscher (Katy, Texas) began his career afternoon finding the back of the net off a Siguenza through ball, to register his first career goal.
- Just seven minutes later in play First Year Bradyen Rapoza (New Durham, N.H.) notched his first collegiate goal off an Owen Barnwell (Derry, N.H.) pass.
- Rapoza would later repay the favor with a beautiful feed to first year Kaden Lewis (Lunenburg, Mass.) to bring the Chargers up to a 7-0 lead.
- Visscher would end the first half with his second goal at the 44th minute mark unassisted.
- Visscher began the second half notching a hat trick by scoring his third goal off of a pass from Donovan Luna (North Haven, Conn.).
- Sophomore Brandon Mejia reached the back of the net off of a dime from First Year David Herrera (Kissimmee, Fla.) to bring the game to a score of 10-0.
- Visscher would then notch his final goal of the game, fed from a cross from sophomore Maverick Thivierge (Concord, N.H.).
- The twelfth goal of the game would come from keeper Yener Bartolon, scoring his first collegiate goal off of a feed from Evan Thomas (Sudbury, Vt.).

Inside the Numbers:
- 9 out of 12 goals on the afternoon were notched by first years, with first year Cullen Visscher (Katy, Texas) leading the offense with 4 goals.
- Visscher will make the record books with this stat line, matching the top record for goals in a game (4) and registering third in points in a single game with 8.
- The Chargers outshout the Hornets 51-1 with 24 of those shots on goal.
- The Chargers earned 22 corners within the match and capitalized off of two of them.
- Tobias Patterson (Concord, N.H.) earned the win as keeper allowing no goals in his first half of play. First Year Alex Gomez-Agudelo (Mesquite, Texas) came in for the second half not allowing a goal and registering one save.
- The Chargers assisted on 8 of their 12 goals each assist being registered by a different member.
