Player Spotlight:
"I think that everyone played very well," said O'Connell. "We had quite a few players injured today, so our starting lineup was a little different, but everyone showed up to play today. I think Marissa was a big part of everything. She got the game winning goal which we needed, and it just goes to show that the players that come off the bench, and the players that we needed today, to takeover showed up and worked hard. It was a very good win.
We need to keep working on getting our shots on target. It has been a pattern the past couple of games where we outshoot our opponents, so we just need to work on getting those shots in and taking advantage of our opportunities when we have them."
Coaches Corner:
"Dean gave us all we could handle today," said head coach
Anthony Cosky. "It was a back-and-forth battle and fortunately we found a way to score with less than a minute left to get the much needed three points. I give Dean a lot of credit today, especially to Sztyler-Magee and Gaunt. We had trouble containing Sztyler-Magee who was dangerous every time she touched the ball and Gaunt made some great saves at key moments in the game.
What a play at the end to win the game with Senior
Marissa Cournoyer hitting a beautiful one-timer. Big time and showed our resiliency and got it done.
We have a couple good days of training and need to be prepared for a very tough Lasell team."
