COLBY-SAWYER ATHLETICS ANNOUNCES BRENDON BOATES AS NEXT HEAD COACH

New London, N.H. – Colby-Sawyer athletics and the women's soccer program is proud to announce Brendon Boates as the next head coach.

Coach Boates joins the Chargers from Springfield College where he has spent the last three years as an assistant coach. The Pride reached the NEWMAC conference playoffs in each of those 3 seasons and made it as far as the conference championship game in 2025. In 2024, while serving as Interim Head Coach, Boates led Springfield to its first 10 win season since 2019 and helped the Pride reach the championship game of the ECAC tournament.

During his tenure at Springfield, Boates coached 13 NEWMAC All-Conference selections, including the 2024 NEWMAC Rookie of the Year, and 8 players who received All-Region accolades. Prior to his time in Springfield, Boates was an Assistant Coach for two seasons at Northeastern University.

In addition to his collegiate experience, Boates has a wealth of experience in the world of club soccer. During his time with FC Stars, NEFC, Scorpions SC, and Seacoast United his teams have tallied 10 Massachusetts state championships as well as multiple regional titles. Boates also owns and directs a private soccer training company through which he trains youth, high school, college, and professional players.

Boates, a graduate from Springfield College holds his Bachelor's Degree in Education/History while also currently working as a Head Coach and College Recruiting Coordinator for Seacoast United Soccer Club.
