CHARGERS STORM BACK IN SEASON FINALE

Henniker, N.H. – The Colby-Sawyer women's soccer team closed out their season with a 3-3 draw against New England College on Wednesday. 

Rapid Recap: 

  • Estrella Michaelidis scored for the Pilgrims to put the hosts up 1-0 in the first ten minutes. 

  • In the 18th minute, Michelina Follis added another for the Pilgrims, making it a 2-0 game. 

  • Ten minutes later, Mia Loewenberg scored the third goal of the game for the hosts. 

  • Colby-Sawyer began their comeback less than a minute later after Lauren McKee (Littleton, N.H.) assisted fellow senior captain Lauren Ardolino (Milford, Conn.) to cut the deficit to two. 

  • The Chargers would continue the pressure, as less than two minutes later McKee would score off an assist from Emma Culleton (Minot, Maine). 

  • In the 67th minute, Ardolino would bring the game even, completing a three-goal comeback. 

Inside the Numbers: 

  • Ardolino's two goals complete her seven-goal season. 

  • Culleton registered her first career assist. 

  • McKee's three-point game is a career high for the senior.
