The Chargers continued their hot streak, increasing their lead by four more points with another three from Parent and a made free throw by junior Ameesah Cotten (Newburgh, N.Y.). After a made layup by junior Sydney Stevens (Laconia, N.H.) with six seconds remaining on the clock, Colby-Sawyer headed into the second quarter with a seven-point advantage over the Cadets
  • Molettieri collected her second three-pointer on the night early in the second quarter to set the score 20-12, Chargers. With less than two minutes in the half, four made free throws, and a three put the Cadets over the Chargers by eight, going into halftime 32-24.
  • A good amount of the third quarter remained scoreless until a Norwich Cadet drew a foul and made one of her two free throws. The rookie drew another foul, this time with only 10 seconds left on the clock, and went 50/50 on the shots. A crucial three-point block by Stevens gave the Chargers the momentum going into the last quarter, 41-32, Cadets.
  • Early in the fourth quarter, Parent sank her third three on the night, with Molettieri following behind also with her third. With the score now at 49-42, advantage cadets, sophomore Grace Lister (Milford, N.H.) dominated the paint to make it a five-point game with less than five minutes to go. After a couple made free throws coming from both teams, Parent landed her fourth and final three on the night to tie the game 52-52 with a minute and a half remaining. From there, the Cadets reacted with a quick layup. Looking for the last possession, the Chargers fouled in hopes of two missed free throws but were only lucky enough to get one from their opponents.
