Chargers End in Tie Against Regis College

NEW LONDON, N.H.- The Chargers ended today's Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match with Regis College in a 1-1 stalemate on Saturday. With the tie today the Chargers record holds at 5-6-3 on the year currently sitting in the seventh seed in the GNAC playoff picture.

Rapid Recap:
  • The Chargers started off the game on fire scoring in the third minute as sophomore Ryan Wilson (Mattapoisett, Mass.) found the ball inside the box and placed his left-footed shot past the Pride's keeper for the 1-0 lead. Colby-Sawyer continued the pressure as sophomore Jadon Baros (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and senior Callum Buchanan (Eastbourne, England) both took shots on target that were stopped by Freddie Beckmann. At the tail end of the first half Regis answered as Callum Park beat first year Yener Bartolon (West Palm Beach, Fla.) on an assist by Conrad Kalinowski.
  • In the second half neither team had advantage with each team getting a pair of shots early. In the 85th minute the Chargers had a goal taken away as senior Aiden Curran (Fleckney, England) was whistled offside after putting a shot into the back of the net. Baros had the finally opportunity with 30 seconds left, but the shot was stopped to end the match at a 1-1 draw.
