The Summary:

  • Callum Buchanan (Eastbourne, England) registered both Colby-Sawyer shots on target in the first half, one in the 14th and another in the 29th minute, but Pride keeper Freddie Beckmann stopped both attempts.
  • Regis also tallied two shots on net in the opening stanza, but both were stopped, one by Lucas Boetsch (Rockport, Maine) the other by Ryan Witty (Wilton, Conn.).

Coaches Corner
"We played our best game of the year," said Head Coach Bob Reasso. "They are a very good, well-coached team. We were the better team today and we out-played them, especially in the second half. We had a number of great scoring chances but could not finish. We lost Lucas [Boetsch] in the first half, but Ryan [Witty] came in and played really well. In the first overtime we had a great chance to score and missed the target. They came back down, got behind us and scored the winner. I am very proud of our guys."

Stats & Figures:
  • The Chargers out-shot the Pride 18-8 on the afternoon, and had six shots on net all stopped.
  • Witty finished the day with three of the Colby-Sawyer's four saves.
