New London, N.H. – The Colby-Sawyer College men's soccer team dropped their second Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match to Albertus Magnus College on Saturday afternoon. The only goal of the game for the Chargers came from the boot of senior
Mason Galbato (North Easton, Mass.) in the 12
thminute of the first quarter.

The Summary
- The Chargers came out strong in the first half with a shot on goal by junior Callum Buchanan (Eastbourne, England) to start the match. The men got an early lead over the Eagles as Galbato scored on a through ball from first year Jadon Baros (Colorado Springs, Co.). Goalkeeper Lucas Boetsch (Rockport, Maine) helped the Chargers preserve the momentum with two big saves to keep the lead. The Chargers outshot the Eagles 11 to seven in the first half.
- In the second half, the competitiveness of the Eagles began to show as the game became more physical. A yellow card was administered to both Charger senior Tim Driscoll (Framingham, Mass.) and Eagles junior Anthony Barreira after an Eagle's goal that evened the score up at one. Not long after, the Eagles were able to sneak in another goal to take the lead and with less than 20 minutes left of the competition, Albertus Magnus scored an insurance goal to make the score 3-1. Regardless of the score, the Chargers continued to apply pressure as they had six shots in the final 20 minutes.

"Our games are taking similar patterns" said Head Coach
Bob Reasso when asked how he felt after the game. "We play really well in the first half, and then get out fought in the second. They were the better team today and deserved the win."
