NEW LONDON, N.H. - The women's basketball team suffered a loss on Wednesday night by the hands of Castleton University by a 62-30 final.

RAPID RECAP:

• The Chargers and Spartans got off to a slow start only totaling a combined 16 points in the first quarter with an 11-5 deficit for the home team. 
• In the second quarter the visitors expanded on their lead taking a 28-18 lead into the break.
• The second half saw more of the same as the Chargers made an early fourth quarter run sparked by a sophomore Grace Lister (Milford, N.H.) bucket to trim the lead to 14, but the Spartans offense continued to thrive picking up the win.

STATS & FIGURES:

• Junior Emily Parent (Oakland, Maine) led the Colby-Sawyer offense with eight points (3-13 FG, 2-6 3-PT), while also ripping down four rebounds and blocking three shots. 
• First year Megan Molettieri (Pelham, N.H.) tallied six points (2-10 FG, 1-5 3-PT, 1-2 FT), while Lister added a four point (2-2 FG), three rebound and a block performance off the bench.
• Elise Magro led the Spartans with 14 points, five rebounds and three steals.
