AMHERST, Mass. – The Chargers men's basketball team cut a Mammoths lead to eight points with just under15 minutes left in the ballgame before a towering 23-0 run gave Amherst College the victory over Colby-Sawyer by a 89-52 final.

- The Chargers kept the deficit within ten points for the most part in the first half trailing 46-33 heading into the break. Junior Omar Boone (Colorado City, TX) tallied all of his eight points for Colby-Sawyer to lead the charge on offense.
- The visitors used an 8-2 run to cut the lead to 52-44 with 14:51 left on the clock.
- Amherst College countered in a massive way going on a 23-0 run over an eight minute span.
Notes & Notables:
- Freshman Kevin Cummings (Portsmouth, N.H.) led the Chargers with 12 points (4-6 FG, 4-6 3-PT) while also grabbing a pair of rebounds.
- Junior Zack Caraballo (Salem, N.H.) was the only other visitor in double-figures scoring 11 points (4-8 FG, 3-6 3-PT) to go along with six assists and three rebounds.
- Colby-Sawyer continues to use the three-point line as a staple of the offense, hitting another eight threes tonight in the loss.
- Grant Robinson led the Mammoths with 17 points, six rebounds, three steals and three assists.
