NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball team dropped a contest to Plymouth State University by a 3-0 final on Thursday night.

Rapid Recap:
- Senior Sam Mohammed (Killingworth, Conn.) led the Charger offense in the first set with five kills, however a late 7-0 Panther run put the set out of reach.
- A back-and-forth second set saw the score at 22-21 in favor of the visitors before Plymouth State escaped with three out of the last four points. Junior Ameesah Cotten (Newburgh, N.Y.) led the set with four kills and a pair of blocks, while Mohammed added four kills.
- The Panthers dominated the third set using a 6-0 and an 8-0 run respectfully to draw the match win with a 25-13 third set victory.
Coaches Corner:
"Tonight we had an opportunity to play really good volleyball and we capitalized on it", said head coach
Cailyn Straubel. "We grew as a team and showed that we have the ability to compete at a high level. I'm proud of the work we put into the match tonight."
Stats & Figures:
- Mohammed matched a season-high in kills with 11 to lead the Chargers attack.
- Senior captain Anna Allen (Los Angeles, Calif.) dished out 17 assists to go along with 10 digs, a kill and an ace.
- Colby-Sawyer currently sits in ninth position in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) standings and will end the regular season with five-straight conference matchups.

The Chargers will celebrate senior day on Saturday with a tri-match encounter. Colby-Sawyer will face off against Saint Joesph's College of Maine at 11 AM before closing the day against Elms College at 3 PM.
