WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - September 28, 2019 - The Colby-Sawyer men's soccer team fell to the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), 5-0, in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action Saturday afternoon.
USJ improves to 6-2 overall and 3-0 in the GNAC. Colby-Sawyer drops its first conference match to fall to 2-1 and 2-4-3 overall. The Chargers travel to the University of New England on Tuesday for a non-conference tilt with the Nor'easters.
The Blue Jays scored four times in the first half, with a hat trick from DeAnte Anderson and a Benjamin Marchetti's fourth goal of the season.
The home team tacked on a goal in late in the second half from Mergim Kutllovci to account for the 5-0 score.
John Griffin had a pair of saves in the win for USJ.
Lucas Boetsch made six saves for the Chargers.
