BIDDEFORD, Maine – October 1, 2019 - The Colby-Sawyer men's soccer team dropped a non-conference match at the University of New England, 3-0, on Tuesday night.
UNE improves to 6-3-1, while Colby-Sawyer drops to 2-5-3. The Chargers return to Great Northeast Athletic Confernece (GNAC) action at home on Saturday against Johnson & Wales.
Callum Heaslewood put UNE in front 1-0 in the 36th minute to account for the only scoring of the first half.
UNE added a pair of goals in the second half from Daniel Smushkin and Lee Esposito to secure the 3-0 victory for the Nor'easters.
Camden Spear made five saves in 80:23 in goal to earn the win for UNE, while Ethan Dispoto worked the remainder of the match and stopped two shots.
Lucas Boetsch had nine saves for the Chargers.
Miguel Contreras led Colby-Sawyer with a pair of shots on target.
