WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - November 15, 2019 - The Colby-Sawyer men's basketball team fell to SUNY POLY, 76-74, on a last second three-pointer of tonight's second game of the 2019 Williams Tip-Off Classic.

Each team goes to 1-1 on the season. SUNY POLY will play Williams in the championship game tomorrow at 4pm. Colby-Sawyer plays Worcester State at 2pm. Williams defeated Worcester State 70-51 in the other game earlier this evening.

Junior Averi Parker hit the game-winning trey with 1.4 seconds remaining on the clock to lift the Wildcats to their first win of the season.

Colby-Sawyer jumped out to an 11-2 lead 2:54 into the contest. The Chargers led by as many as 12 in the first half, but a late 15-6 run by the Wildcats cut the deficit to 42-39 at the break. Chargers' senior Patrick Coffey (Westford, Mass.) led all scorers with 14 points on perfect 6-6 shooting.

SUNY POLY continued its strong play into the second half, taking a 54-53 lead with 14:02 left. For the majority of the second half, the Wildcats continued to hold a slim advantage, until a Coffey trey with 4:28 to go regained the Chargers lead, 70-69. The teams stayed locked in a back and forth battle for the remainder of the game before Parker's three-pointer gave the Wildcats the victory.

The Wildcats received 18 points from Caleb Canty and Josh Gregory. Gregory added a game best 12 rebounds. Averi Parker and LJ Randle added 12 points apiece, while Jake Kulakowski was the fifth Wildcat in double figures with 11.
