Shannon O'Connell (Peabody, Mass.) set a 5k record to lead the women's cross country team at Saturday's Keene State Invitational.

O'Connell posted a new Colby-Sawyer standard of 18:55.4 to beat the previous record of 19:11.07 set by Emily Lopez '17 on September 17, 2016 at UMass Dartmouth. O'Connell finished 16th out of 185 runners to help the Chargers place 8th out of 19 teams.

Zoe Utton (Charlestown, N.H.) lowered her season best 5k time to 19:45.4 to place 40th.

Alison Fairbairn (Dover, N.H.) was close behind in 47th place in 19:57.3.

Emily Carrigan (Wenham, Mass.) finished simultaneously to place 93rd and 94th in 21:00 and 21:01.
