Box Score POMFRET CENTER, Conn. - April 8, 2018 - The Colby-Sawyer men's tennis team was edged by Nichols, 6-3, in non-conference action Sunday evening. 

The Chargers dip to 2-8 and are scheduled to host Saint Anselm on Wednesday. Nichols improves to 10-2. 

Nichols took two of three doubles matches to take an important 2-1 lead. Gustav Jigrup and Nick Mathieu recorded the team's lone doubles point by defeating Blake Norton and August Moeller 8-5. Nichols won at No. 2 8-1 and No. 3 8-6. 

Burke cruised to a 6-3, 6-1 win over Brandon Stewart to post Colby-Sawyer's second point of the match. 

In the singles match of the day, Mathieu came away with a marathon come-from-behind win at the second flight over Guilherme Barbosa. After dropping the first set 6-2, Mathieu won the next two in lengthy tie-breakers. He took the second set 7-6 (15-13) and then the third 7-6 (14-12).
