NEW LONDON, N.H. - April 7, 2018 - The Colby-Sawyer men's tennis team swept Johnson, 9-0, in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) East Division season opener for both teams at the Mountainside Racquet and Fitness Center.
Colby-Sawyer improves to 2-7 overall and 1-0 in conference action. The Chargers will step out of conference play for a Sunday match against Nichols at the Pomfret School. Johnson drops to 1-4 overall and 0-1 in the NAC. The Badgers travel to Castleton tomorrow for another conference tilt.
The Chargers' doubles teams of

Nick Mathieu,
Matt Burke/
Cam Lynch, and
Ross Kenney/
Andrew Peloquin each won by am 8-0 score to put the team on top 3-0 heading into singles action.
Jigrup defeated Gerrit Lane 6-2, 6-3 at the top singles flight, while Mathieu, Burke and Kenney did not drop a game to take No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 singles.
Mike White earned an 8-0 pro set win over Quinn Lambert at the fifth flight. In the closest match of the afternoon,
Matt Williamson edged Evan Daigneault, 8-5, at the sixth spot.
