Box Score NORTON, Mass. - March 31, 2018 - The Colby-Sawyer men's tennis team fell to Wheaton, 7-2, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.
Colby-Sawyer drops to 1-7 and will open North Atlantic Conference (NAC) East Division action next Saturday against Johnson. Wheaton improves to 4-4.
The Chargers took one doubles match from the Lyons, but dropped the other two.
Gustav Jigrup and
Nick Mathieu combined to win at the top flight, 9-8 (7-5), over Jeremiah Ryser and J. Esteban de Celis.
Cam Lynch and
Ross Kenney fought hard at the second flight but were edged by Ned Roosevelt and J. Aguirre Martinez, 9-7.
In singles action,
Andrew Peloquin came away with the lone Charger point. He won his No. 4 match 6-1, 7-5 over Ned Roosevelt.
