NEW LONDON, N.H. – November 10, 2018 – The Colby-Sawyer women's swimming team defeated Maine Maritime 152-59, but fell to Smith 162-93 in Saturday's double dual meet at the Knight Natatorium.

Sophomore
Jinnae Jang (Fall River, Mass.) earned the first win on the afternoon with a top time of 28.94 in the 50 backstroke. Jang then won the 50 freestyle by improving her season best time for the second times in as many days. She clocked in with a top time of 25.97.
First-year
Kelsey Brown (Douglas, Mass.) came away with a win in the 100 butterfly in a time of 1:02.23. She then took the top spot in the 100 backstroke by touching the wall in 1:05.96. Brown added a second place in the 50 butterfly. She clocked in at 28.58.
First-year
Lauren Berry (Dracut, Mass.) picked up a second place against Smith in the 50 breaststroke at 40.59, but earned first-place points against Maine Maritime.
Senior
Bethany Fennessey (Windham, N.H.) earned first-place points against Maine Maritime in the 200 IM with a time of 2:44.64.
Brown, Jang,
Meagan Thomsen (Gorham, Maine) and
Grace Herde (Kent, Conn.) combined to win the 200 freestyle relay in a total time of 1:50.02.
The Chargers will travel to SUNY Potsdam next weekend to compete at the North Country Invitational.
