NEW LONDON, N.H. – November 10, 2018 – The Colby-Sawyer men's cross country team finished 30th out of 58 at Saturday's NCAA Regional hosted by Bowdoin College.
RESULTS
Colby-Sawyer recorded 835 points.
Junior
Liam Fleming (Orford, N.H.) had a big day for the Chargers as he led the team in 113th place out of 416 runners. He crossed the finish line in a time of 27:15.73.
Junior
Ben Jones (Enfield, N.H.) came away with a time of 27:20.05 to finish the 8k course in 119th.
Sophomore
Kyle Hajj (Methuen, Mass.) was the third Charger to finish. He posted a time of 28:09.48 to place 159th.
Senior
Bruin Smith (Cohoes, N.Y.) covered the course in 28:34.01 to finish in 188th.
First-year
Spencer McClary (South Burlington, Vt.) and senior
Matt Royer (South Burlington, Vt.) finished together in 258th and 259th, respectively, to round out the Colby-Sawyer competitors. McClary crossed the finish line in 29:53.94, while Royer was less than a second behind at 29:54.82.
Junior
Peter Bakker (Barkhamsted, Conn.) and senior
Kyle Diezel (Pittsford, Vt.) were two of 25 runners that did not finish the race.
